# Export methods

## Export methods

## HTTP export

This method makes the feed available at a URL. Configure FactFinder to download it:

```
[YOUR_SHOP_URL]?cl=http_article_feed&fnc=export
```

Use these endpoints for other feed types:

```
[YOUR_SHOP_URL]?cl=http_category_feed&fnc=export
[YOUR_SHOP_URL]?cl=http_suggest_category_feed&fnc=export
```

> **Note:** The feed generates on demand. It may take time to become available.

## Basic authentication

Use the backend **Export settings** to secure HTTP export. Include the credentials in the URL:

```
https://[username]:[password]@[REST_OF_URL]
```

## FTP export

This method uploads the feed to an FTP/SFTP server. FactFinder can then import it. Configure this under **Export settings**.

The **Key** and **Key Passphrase** fields apply only to SFTP. **SSL Enabled** applies only to FTP.

> **Note:** The FTP/SFTP server must be accessible to FactFinder.

## Admin panel export

Use **Export Feed** in the module configuration to trigger an export manually. It runs the full process, including FTP upload and FactFinder import when enabled.

> **Note:** The export does not download a local feed file. Use [HTTP export](#http-export) to view it.
>
> **Note:** Category export is unavailable here. The button starts a channel import. The category feed enriches the main article feed.

## Console commands

The module `bin` directory provides three console commands. Run them with PHP CLI:

```
php [MODULE_LOCATION]/bin/[COMMAND_NAME].php
```

* `feed-write.php` — Saves the feed file locally.
* `feed-upload.php` — Runs the full integration.
* `feed-worker.php` — Runs the export with workers. This reduces memory usage for large catalogs.

For OXID Enterprise multishop installations, pass the shop ID with `-s`:

```
php source/modules/ff/ffwebcomponents/bin/feed-write.php -s1
```

For multiple languages, pass the language identifier with `-l`. Find identifiers under **Master Settings → Languages**. Use `-t category` for category feeds.

```
php bin/feed-write.php -l 1
```

## Worker export

Since version 6.4.0, the module includes a worker-based export flow. It reduces memory use for large or complex catalogs. It is available only through the CLI:

```
php [MODULE_LOCATION]/bin/feed-worker.php
```

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.fact-finder.com/oxid/sdk-v6.x/export-methods.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
