# Notification Messages

## Summary

FactFinder can automatically notify you about system status and search responses.

> We strongly recommend reading these messages and enabling email delivery. This helps you detect potential problems early.

**Notification messages** is available under the "System maintenance" section. In the default menu, go to **More settings…**

If you disable email for import error messages, they appear on the Summary page instead. You can delete them using the delete icon.

## Preferences

The **Preferences** tab lets you manage email recipients for notifications.

All configured email addresses are shown in a grid with the following columns:

![](/files/UipZ5ADW4CYdVObCmdDS) **Keyword** — keyword included in the email subject

To add a new address, click **Add Notification** ![](/files/cVfuaDKK4FYgURysSN7J).

A dialog opens to configure the details.

Enter the general details:

* **E-mail address**
* **Subject keyword** - will be used in the mail's subject line
* **Language**

Select the **Notification type** ![](/files/Ehk1tMw4qBIWvCgJj7rh):

* Import errors;
* Dashboard reports;
* Analytics reports.

Each type exposes additional options:

* Select channel(s) for **Import Errors**

* Select channel(s) and distribution attributes (frequency and start date) for **Dashboard Report**

* Select a preconfigured Analytics report and distribution attributes (time range, frequency, and start date) for **Analytics Report**

## Notifications

The **Notifications** tab:

* Displays messages that have not been sent to the configured email addresses
* Groups messages by channel
* Allows deleting individual messages
