FactFinder NG User Management

Overview

FactFinder NG includes built-in User Management. It lets you control access to modules and channels with a granular permission model.

Permissions are based on roles. Assign roles directly to users or indirectly through groups. Groups help you manage shared access in bulk.

Use User Management to add, delete, and update users and their access rights.

You can assign different access rights and channels to each user. This keeps users within their area of responsibility. Users with administrator status have full access to all channels.

Each user should have a separate account protected by a password. This makes configuration changes traceable. Access rights and channel assignments are managed separately.

For larger teams, manage roles through groups and assign users to those groups. Each group member receives the group's access rights.

A user can belong to more than one group. In that case, the user receives the combined rights of all assigned groups.
